- Portal opens in early May and closes September 15 (the page states this deadline as both 2026 and, in one older leftover sentence, 2023 -- the year appears not to have been kept fully up to date on the university's own page; the month/day, early May to September 15, is the reliable part). Deutschlandstipendium at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA)
EUR 300 per month, generally for two semesters — EUR 150 from private sponsors and EUR 150 from the federal government. Re-application is possible, and with consistent performance funding can run until the end of the standard period of study.
Eligibility: Aimed at all students within the standard period of study, and open to first-year students as well. Grades are the central criterion, but personal circumstances and commitment are also taken into account — and HKA states plainly that the applicant's own financial background plays no role. The aim is to support talented students expected to achieve, or already achieving, outstanding academic and professional results.
HKA offered 105 scholarships for winter semester 2026/27, subject to private funds being available at the time of award; the next application window was expected to run 1 June to 31 July 2026, applied for online. No numeric grade threshold is published, so none is recorded here.
