Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
BS-CS · 2.5 years · Computer Science
International tuition
US$180 per credit unit
2026/27 · Same rate for all undergraduates · All students — no separate international rate
UoPeople charges no tuition. The metered cost is a per-course 'Assessment Fee' of $180, the same rate for every undergraduate course at UoPeople (Business Administration and Computer Science bachelor's students are both charged $180/course) — it is not specific to Computer Science, so this is recorded as institution-wide rather than program-specific. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science requires 40 courses (120 credits, i.e. ~$60/credit), so the assessment fees alone total 40 x $180 = $7,200. Added to the one-time, non-refundable $60 application fee, UoPeople's own fee table states the total estimated cost of the Computer Science B.S. degree as $7,260 (see costContext). There is no distinct international-student rate — every student worldwide pays the same fees. UoPeople reserves the right to change the Assessment Fee amount, reviewed annually.

“Computer Science – B.S. Degree $60 $180 40 $7,260”
UoPeople advertises itself as 'tuition-free,' which is accurate for instruction, textbooks and campus costs, but it is not free to attend. A student pays a one-time, non-refundable $60 application fee plus a $180 'assessment fee' charged for every course taken. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science requires 40 courses, so the assessment fees alone come to 40 x $180 = $7,200. UoPeople's own program page states the resulting all-in total directly: approximately $7,260 for the whole degree (application fee + all 40 course assessment fees), before any transfer credit reduces the course count. This $7,260 figure is UoPeople's own stated total, not this project's estimate. Note that UoPeople's first-term 'Foundations' courses (e.g. UNIV 1001 and CS 1101) are drawn from the normal 40-course sequence shown in the catalog's own example learning pathway, not extra courses on top of it, so they do not add to this total. UoPeople does not participate in US federal Title IV financial aid (because it charges no tuition), but offers its own need-based grants and scholarships toward the application and assessment fees.

- August 13, 2026 for the term starting September 3, 2026. UoPeople runs rolling, multi-term admissions throughout the year (its undergraduate catalog's admissions calendar lists five separate application/term cycles across a single academic year), so this is the next upcoming deadline shown on the program page rather than a single annual cutoff.
