Non-EU fee taken from Trinity's official undergraduate fees schedule (filterable by course), row 'Computer Science (Year 5 is postgraduate)', School of Computer Science & Statistics band. The EU rate for comparison on the same row is EUR 4,832 tuition + EUR 2,500 Student Contribution = EUR 7,332 total (EU students only pay the Student Contribution; non-EU students do not). The fees page states that on top of both the EU and non-EU figures, 'students are required to pay a Student Levies and Charges fee annually' as a separate charge -- so the EUR 29,570 non-EU figure quoted here EXCLUDES the student levy/charge. The schedule also states 'The Tuition fees noted in the below fee schedule relates to the first year of the course, not the fee for entire course duration', and fees for continuing students may rise yearly under College Fee Certainty regulations.

International tuition

€29,570 per year

Verified

2026/27 · Priced for this course · Non-EU students

Fee schedule row for 'Engineering (Common entry - Year 5 is postgraduate), with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering' -- one of six identically-priced TR032 specialisations (Biomedical, Civil/Structural/Environmental, Computer, Electronic, Electronic and Computer (joint), Mechanical and Manufacturing), all EUR 29,570 non-EU for 2026/27. The EU rate for comparison is EUR 4,832 tuition + EUR 2,500 Student Contribution = EUR 7,332 total. This EXCLUDES the separate annual Student Levies and Charges fee. Trinity's default published pathway is the 5-year integrated M.A.I. (NFQ Level 9); the B.A.I. Honours Bachelor Degree (NFQ Level 8) is stated as an optional earlier exit, though the course page does not give a separate stand-alone duration figure for it.

Scholarships

  • E3 Balanced Solutions for a Better World Undergraduate Scholarship

Either a 1-year award worth EUR 2,000-5,000, or a 4-year award worth EUR 4,000 per year, applied as a reduction to tuition fees.

Eligibility: Open to applicants with non-EU fee status (billed the non-EU tuition rate) who hold a first-year offer for one of a named list of E3 (Engineering, Environment & Emerging Technologies) undergraduate courses, including BAI Engineering. Assessed on academic achievement and a 200-word statement on the applicant's potential contribution to the E3 initiative; no numeric grade threshold is published. Applications are reviewed in three 2026 batches (deadlines 1 February, 15 March and 1 May), with later applications assessed on a rolling basis depending on budget.

Trinity's separate, larger Global Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship explicitly excludes Engineering, Natural Sciences and Computer Science & Statistics courses, so this E3 award is the STEM-specific route rather than a supplement to it.
