Qatar University prices undergraduate tuition per credit hour by the college offering the course, not by nationality: this QAR 1,400/credit-hour rate is the College of Engineering rate on QU's current fee table (in force for students admitted Fall 2023 onward) and applies the same to Qatari and non-Qatari students alike. Qatari nationals (and other 'tuition-exempted' students) are separately relieved of this fee entirely under a government/university exemption scheme recorded on the same page — a distinct benefit, not a lower published rate — so this is what a non-Qatari international student actually pays. QU states no single annual figure; its own Academic Load policy (see costContext) caps a full-time semester at 12-18 credit hours, so annual cost depends on load taken. Additional mandatory charges are not itemized on this page; QU's admission pages mention separate items such as a QR 200 non-refundable online-application fee and (for international/visa students) residence-permit/medical costs — confirm current ancillary fees directly with QU Admissions.

Scholarships
International Students Scholarship
Full tuition-fee exemption, full textbook-fee exemption, a QR 500 monthly stipend, shared student housing (two students per room) with campus transportation, an annual round-trip air ticket, and a Qatar University-sponsored residence permit. Renewable while the student maintains a minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA, completes at least 12 credit hours per semester, and stays continuously enrolled (Fall and Spring) to graduation.
Eligibility: High school certificate (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 95%; final (unconditional) admission to Qatar University; must meet the admission requirements of the college applied to. Selected competitively — meeting the bar is not a guarantee of award. Not available to transfer, visiting, non-degree, or second-bachelor applicants.
QU's scholarship committee may weigh IELTS/TOEFL and SAT/ACT/QU Math Placer scores when selecting among applicants.
