International tuition
€726.72 per term
~€4,400 for the whole 3 years, at today's fee2026/27 · Same rate across the institution · Non-EU students
Austria sets public-university tuition nationally, so this is one rate for every JKU degree programme rather than a price for this specific course. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens pay nothing within the programme duration plus two tolerance semesters; "third-country nationals" (non-EU/EEA) pay €726.72 per semester from the first semester, i.e. €1,453.44 per academic year. On top of it every student pays the Austrian Student Union (ÖH) fee, €26.20 per semester including insurance on the same page. Citizens of the countries listed in the annex to Austria’s tuition-fee regulation are exempt from the tuition fee itself.

JKU Merit Scholarship (Leistungsstipendium)
€750 to €1,500, paid out in a single lump sum upon award of the scholarship.
Eligibility: Awarded in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. JKU’s scholarships overview page states the award is for students who completed a degree programme year in the allotted time with an average grade of no less than 2.0 on the Austrian 1-5 scale (1 is best) — so it is an award for students already enrolled, not an entry scholarship for new international applicants.
Not recorded as minimumGPA/gpaScale: the 2.0 bar sits on a different JKU page and is on the inverted Austrian 1-5 grading scale, where a lower number is better — storing it in a field the UI reads as a conventional GPA would misinform the eligibility checker. Funds are made available by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and the Economy.
