NOK 218,000 per year
~NOK 654,000 for the whole 3 years, at today's fee2027/28 · Priced for this course · Non-EU students
This is the University of Oslo's one bachelor's programme taught in English. Norway ended free tuition for non-EU/EEA/Swiss students in autumn 2023: UiO's own tuition page states 'Students with citizenship from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland must pay tuition fees, unless they qualify for an exemption,' and that this 'will not affect students admitted to a study programme prior to 2023 at UiO.' Citizens of the EU/EEA and Switzerland remain exempt from this fee. The university's own cost table lists no figure for this programme for 2026/2027 (the column is blank for this row) and only publishes a rate for 2027/2028, so that is the year recorded here rather than the current one. In addition to this tuition fee, every enrolled student regardless of nationality also pays a separate mandatory semester fee each semester (Semester fee to SiO the student welfare organisation: NOK 690, plus a Kopinor fee to UiO: NOK 220, plus an optional SAIH contribution of NOK 60 that may be deducted from the total) -- NOK 970 per semester (NOK 910 without the optional SAIH contribution), which is on top of and separate from the tuition fee above.
