Tuition not published in a form we could verify

IET's own site does not publish a tuition figure. NTU's general international-student fee reference table lists the College of Engineering rate (IET sits within the College of Engineering) as 'Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science: 58,940' TWD per semester for international undergraduates — a college-wide rate, not IET-specific — and that table cautions it is 'for reference only', with no academic year stated on the page itself. NTU's officially dated 2026/27 tuition-and-fee schedule PDF ('National Taiwan University 2026/27 Academic Year Tuition and Fees', passed at the university's 3,216th Administration Meeting on 26 May 2026) lists the identical NTD 58,940-per-semester total for the same Engineering/EE/Computer Science column, corroborating that figure for the 2026/27 academic year (i.e. roughly NTD 117,880 across two semesters).

Scholarships

  • NTU Scholarship for International Degree Student

Tuition waiver of up to NTD 65,000 (exclusive of administrative fees, thesis advisor's fees, insurance, accommodation, internet service, credit fees and other such fees) plus a monthly stipend of NTD 8,000, awarded for one year and renewable by reapplication each following academic year.

Eligibility: Open to currently-enrolled international undergraduate students at National Taiwan University (this is NTU's own scholarship, separate from the government-administered Taiwan Government/MOE Scholarship listed on the same page). Students become eligible to apply once matriculated, via NTU's International Degree Current Students System, in the annual April-May application window; no separate GPA or grade threshold is published for this specific award. Does not include dual-degree students.

NTU also administers several Taiwan Government Scholarships (MOE, MOFA, Taiwan Elite, Taiwan-Europe Semiconductor) for enrolled international students on the same source page, each with its own GPA renewal standard and stipend, and separate graduate-only NTU awards (International Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship, Loyalty Award, Centennial Fellowship).

Tuition not published in a form we could verify

GUPS's own admissions page states, in its at-a-glance summary, 'Fee (per year): International: 120,000 NTD' (Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong & Macao students pay NTD 60,000/year). No academic year is attached to this figure on the page itself, so it falls short of this dataset's bar for a structured, dated tuition figure. NTU's general international-student fee reference table separately lists 'International College Global Undergraduate Program in Semiconductors' at NTD 60,000 per semester (i.e. NTD 120,000/year), matching this figure exactly, though that table also carries no stated academic year and is captioned 'for reference only'. NTU's officially dated 2026/27 tuition-and-fee schedule PDF ('National Taiwan University 2026/27 Academic Year Tuition and Fees', passed at the university's 3,216th Administration Meeting on 26 May 2026) lists the identical NTD 60,000-per-semester total for the same International College/GUPS column, corroborating that NTD 120,000/year is the confirmed international rate for the 2026/27 academic year.

English. GUPS's own overview page states: 'Global Undergraduate Program in Semiconductors (GUPS) is a full English undergraduate program with a specialized focus on semiconductor technology.' Its curriculum page separately requires students to pass a Chinese Proficiency Test (CEFR B1 / TOCFL Level 3) before graduation — a graduation requirement, not the medium of instruction — and notes that beyond the required English curriculum, students 'may enroll in courses from other disciplines within the university that are taught in English or Chinese' for general-elective credit.

Tuition not published in a form we could verify

BFN's own site does not publish a tuition figure and defers entirely to NTU's Office of International Affairs for admissions and fees. NTU's general international-student fee reference table lists the relevant college rate as 'Science, Bio-resources & Agriculture: 58,520' TWD per semester (BFN sits within the College of Bioresources and Agriculture) — a college-wide rate, not BFN-specific — and that table cautions it is 'for reference only', with no academic year stated on the page itself. NTU's officially dated 2026/27 tuition-and-fee schedule PDF ('National Taiwan University 2026/27 Academic Year Tuition and Fees', passed at the university's 3,216th Administration Meeting on 26 May 2026) lists the identical NTD 58,520-per-semester total for the same Science/Bio-resources/Agriculture column, corroborating that figure for the 2026/27 academic year.

Mixed, with the core of the degree mandated in English. BFN's own curriculum page states: 'Departmental required courses (45 credits) and departmental elective courses (36 credits) MUST be taken in English. Courses taught in Chinese will not count towards these requirements.' Those two blocks together total 81 of the degree's 128 credits (the entire major-specific science and biotechnology/food-nutrition curriculum). Separately, the 12-credit 'Common compulsory courses' block includes 6 credits of Mandarin and 6 credits of Foreign Language/English, and the general-education plus free-elective credits (roughly 35 of 128 credits) are not stated to be English-restricted. BFN's homepage separately states: 'The main target students of the Bachelor Program are international students.'
