Scholarships

  • University Admissions Scholarship for IB Diploma

    45 points: full tuition plus a HK$60,000 annual living allowance, renewable for the normative duration of study. 44 points: full tuition p.a., renewable. 43 points: half tuition p.a., renewable. 40-42 points: half tuition, one-off payment.

    Eligibility: Automatic for all IB Diploma applicants to HKUST undergraduate programmes, tiered by total IB score including Extended Essay/Theory of Knowledge points, for 2026/27 intake: 45 points, 44 points, 43 points, and 40-42 points are each a separate tier (see coverage). No separate application is required; all IB applicants are automatically considered based on verified grades. A top-up scholarship may additionally be offered by the School/Programme Office, capped at full tuition fee plus HK$60,000 allowance per year.

    HKUST publishes equivalent tiered University Admissions Scholarships for other qualification types (GCE A-Level/International A-Level, SAT/Advanced Placement, and other international qualifications) with their own grade thresholds and payouts, plus a separate Global Learners Scholarship and application-based non-academic awards — see HKUST's Academic Admissions Scholarships pages.

  • University Admissions Scholarship for IB Diploma

    45 points: full tuition plus a HK$60,000 annual living allowance, renewable for the normative duration of study. 44 points: full tuition p.a., renewable. 43 points: half tuition p.a., renewable. 40-42 points: half tuition, one-off payment.

    Eligibility: Automatic for all IB Diploma applicants to HKUST undergraduate programmes, tiered by total IB score including Extended Essay/Theory of Knowledge points, for 2026/27 intake: 45 points, 44 points, 43 points, and 40-42 points are each a separate tier (see coverage). Scholarships

  • University Admissions Scholarship for IB Diploma

    45 points: full tuition plus a HK$60,000 annual living allowance, renewable for the normative duration of study. 44 points: full tuition p.a., renewable. 43 points: half tuition p.a., renewable. 40-42 points: half tuition, one-off payment.

    Eligibility: Automatic for all IB Diploma applicants to HKUST undergraduate programmes, tiered by total IB score including Extended Essay/Theory of Knowledge points, for 2026/27 intake: 45 points, 44 points, 43 points, and 40-42 points are each a separate tier (see coverage). No separate application is required; all IB applicants are automatically considered based on verified grades. A top-up scholarship may additionally be offered by the School/Programme Office, capped at full tuition fee plus HK$60,000 allowance per year.
