2026/27 · Faculty-wide rate · Non-EU students

This is the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics' 'outside the EU' rate, which is what most international (non-EU) applicants to this English-taught programme pay. The same page states a lower rate for EU citizens: 'The tuition fee for students from the EU is 4200 EUR per academic year, for students from outside the EU 7100 EUR per academic year from 2026/27.' The fee is published as a single faculty-wide figure covering both the faculty's Bachelor's and Master's programmes taught in English, not a rate set specifically for this one course. This programme is NOT free: Charles University's Czech-medium programmes are tuition-free, but this English-taught bachelor's is not.

Eligibility: Open to applicants for the Bachelor's or Master's Programme in Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (English-taught) for entry in 2026/2027, who have not previously studied the programme at Charles University, meet the programme's Entry Requirements, and are not receiving any other scholarship or maintenance grant. Awarded by the Dean on the basis of academic excellence (no published numeric grade bar); the application requires a CV, motivation letter, transcripts and two letters of recommendation, due by 30 April 2026. To keep the scholarship, a Bachelor's recipient must complete at least 60 credits by the end of year one and 120 by the end of year two, and finish the degree within the standard three years.

Up to six of these scholarships are awarded per year for the Bachelor's in Computer Science (separately, up to two for the Master's). The faculty runs sister scholarships for its Mathematics and Physics programmes (Prague Mathematics/Physics Tuition Fee Scholarships), which do not cover this Computer Science degree.

This is the Faculty of Science's 'Other' (non-EU/EEA/Ukraine) rate for the Science bachelor's programme commencing 2026/2027, which is what most international applicants pay. The same official fee table gives a lower rate for EU/EEA/Ukraine citizens for the same programme and year: 'EU/EEA/Ukraine 3 000 EUR'. Fees are set per named study programme (e.g. the Master's Botany programme is priced separately at 2 500 EUR), so this figure is program-specific, not a blanket faculty rate. The programme is NOT free: Charles University's Czech-medium programmes are tuition-free, but this English-taught bachelor's is not.
