International tuition
CA$48,000 per year
~ Published, undatedFaculty-wide rate · International students
Waterloo publishes this figure without stating which year it applies to, so it may already be out of date. Treat it as a starting point and check the course page for the current rate. Flag it below if you know it has changed.
A RANGE, NOT A SINGLE PRICE: Waterloo's own Aviation fees page states international tuition (Faculty of Environment / Faculty of Science) as "$48,000 - $50,000" per year; the figure recorded here is the bottom of that range. This is tuition ONLY. On top of it, Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) flight training costs a separate, TBD-but-estimated $100,000 over the 4-year degree (not covered by OSAP or other provincial financial aid), bringing the total estimated degree cost for an international student to $292,000-$300,000. Figures are Waterloo's own estimates and subject to change; this single page covers both the Science and Aviation and Geography and Aviation programmes.

Applicants apply to a named co-op version of a degree from school rather than joining co-op later, and the same page states tuition is paid only during school terms while a separate co-op fee is charged in instalments across the degree. Waterloo also states plainly that co-op jobs are not guaranteed: students apply and interview for them like any other job.
What Waterloo publishes about how the placement works. Not a promise of a job. Employment rates and salaries are deliberately not recorded here; earnings figures on this site come only from national statistics agencies.
